Jowitt & Rodgers Co. is an abrasive manufacturing company based in Philadelphia, PA. Founded in 1951, we have focused on meeting the needs of selected niches within the abrasive market. Concentrating on surface grinding, we custom design bonded abrasives to meet industry's needs. Our products are used in the production of automotive parts, bearings, cutlery, hand tools, forestry products, and a wide variety of other items. The plant in Philadelphia produces resin and epoxy bonded abrasives. Our principal products are nut inserted disc wheels, cylinder wheels and segmented wheels. All are manufactured in our ISO 9001:2000 certified facility utilizing SPC process controls to meet the highest quality standards. In Charlotte, NC, our Syntech operating division produces bonded superabrasive products. Syntech manufactures resin, metal and vitrified bonded diamond and CBN grinding wheels.
