PWS was founded in 1979 by Tom Clements as a manufacturerÕs representative organization with the objective of representing the finest retail packaging manufacturers in the industry calling on Paper and Packaging distributors. Lyndsey Tidwell joined Tom in 1992 as his first sales representative and partner. In 1998, we began warehousing packaging products and offering quick production turnaround times on custom printed packaging items, such as gift boxes and ribbon, along with paper bags and plastic bags. This was no easy task, as neither of us had much experience operating a printing press. Undeterred, we continued forward and thankfully we were lucky enough to hire knowledgeable post-print professionals who we then entrusted to lead our production department. Soon after, our in-house print department had reached the finest quality workmanship for silk screening, foil hot stamping, flexo printing, and heat transfer application in the industry. The success of our post-print operation and the growing demand in the Promotional Products Industry for quick turnarounds on custom printed packaging led to our decision to enter the Ad Specialty Industry in 2001. At the time, Tom and I had no idea that our two-man operation would grow to over 100 employees with our production facility located in Brea, California.
