Spanjer's methods include etching in acid, photometal, photochemical and non-acid, engraving by computer, laser and mechanical means, cast bronze and cast aluminum letters and plaques using sandcasting, lost wax and green casting. Methods of letter cutting include waterjet, laser, plasma cutter, band saw and router. Spanjer also manufactures awnings, banners, post and panel signs, stanchions, directories, and applies gold-leaf lettering as well as vinyl lettering to any substrate. Throughout the nation, Spanjer has amassed a network of installers and can accommodate local permits as well as perform engineering and architectural skills where needed.
